Executive – Software Sales and Marketing
Job Description:
The
Sales and Marketing Executive for Software Sales will drive revenue growth and
market expansion in the Malaysia market. This role combines sales strategy with
marketing initiatives to build customer relationships, identify potential
clients, and showcase how our software solutions meet the unique needs of
various Malaysian industries. The executive will collaborate closely with
product and marketing teams to craft value-driven propositions and work
directly with prospects to convert leads into long-term partnerships.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy and Lead Generation:
- Develop and execute sales plans focused on
identifying and acquiring new clients in Malaysia across target
industries such as finance, retail, restaurant, health, construction,
facility and manufacturing.
- Generate and qualify leads through direct
outreach, networking, events, and digital channels.
- Identify decision-makers and establish contact
with key stakeholders in prospective companies to build relationships and
foster trust.
- Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations
tailored to client needs, highlighting solution benefits and ROI.
- Nurture and maintain relationships with
prospective and existing clients to ensure high customer satisfaction and
retention.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their
business challenges and position our software as a tailored solution to
these needs.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
- Research the Malaysia market to identify trends,
customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
- Analyze competitor offerings to effectively
differentiate our software solutions and position them as the preferred
choice.
- Provide insights to management on market demands
and customer feedback to inform product development and marketing
strategies.
- Marketing Support and Campaign Execution:
- Assist in the creation and implementation of
targeted marketing campaigns aimed at lead generation, customer
engagement, and brand awareness.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to develop
localized content, including case studies, white papers, and social media
posts relevant to the Malaysian market.
- Participate in trade shows, seminars, and online
events to represent the company, network with potential clients, and
promote the company’s software solutions.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
- Track and report sales metrics, forecast revenue,
and analyze sales trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
for the sales manager, providing insights on performance, pipeline
development, and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to
adjust strategies based on performance metrics and market changes.
Qualifications
and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or
related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in sales and marketing,
preferably in software or technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales processes,
including lead generation, customer engagement, and account management.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales
targets in competitive markets.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and
communication skills in English; proficiency in Malay is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt sales messaging to resonate with
Malaysian business norms and cultural nuances.
